I have a simpler method on my page “Chord Progression Basics (Easy Chord
Theory For Guitar)”. Learning the basics of chord progressions doesn’t
require you to know note names, or major/minor chords. That comes later. ?

Not powerchords. Watch him again. He plays E G A C chords, but instead of
barring all the way across all six strings, he plays all six strings but
leaves the B and E ringing open. Listen closely. You can hear them ringing.
