February Beat Contest Competition Battle

Computer Music Production School in conjunction with GotchaNoddin.com and WAV Addiktz Productions, is offering you the opportunity to beat battle with other producers for prizes, recognition and potential label release.

The Beat Genre for February 2012 is Dirty South.
The Dirty South beats created will incorporate the sound made popular by producers Lex Luger, Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, and Shawty Redd. Arrangement, clarity, and creativity are top focus. Good use of bass, addictive melodies, and catchy synthlines are some of the criteria your beats will be judged on.

Rules of the Beat Contest Competition

Each month, a new genre or style of music will be introduced. Participants will have 30 days to submit material. Only one track allowed per month/per entry. Submission fee $10. CMPS students participate free of charge.

February Beat Contest Material will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Good use of bass, addictive melodies, and catchy synth lines.
2. Overall composition and likeness to the theme or genre given.
3. Overall creativity of the music production.
4. Overall sound quality of the mix & master.

Registrants hereby grant Blue Sound Studios LLC, its partners, successors the right to use and promote beat contest submissions. Registrants represent and warrant that all beat submissions: (a) are owned, original, previously-unrecorded work, (b) are not the subject of any actual or threatened litigation or claim, (c) do not infringe upon or violate the intellectual property rights or other rights of any other person or entity, (d) do not and will not violate any applicable laws, and (e) are not and will not be defamatory, libelous, pornographic, or obscene. Registrant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Blue Sound Studios LLC and their affiliates and agents harmless from and against any and all third party claims, actions or proceedings of any kind and from any and all damages, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to or arising out of any breach or alleged breach of any of your warranties, representations or agreements hereunder.

Each month participants will compete in different genres and styles of music for the opportunity to win one of the prize packages listed below.

The top three winners will receive:

-Potential release on iTunes, Amazon, Beatport, and other online music stores.
-Official press release of Producer’s name on Google, Yahoo, and other popular search engines.
-Highlight on homepage of Computer Music Production School & GotchaNoddin website.

2nd place:
-$100 credit for Gotchanoddin.com Sample Libraries
-Potential release on iTunes, Amazon, Beatport, and other online music stores.

3rd place:
